"Liver Health Renewed: The Benefits of Reflexology"

"You're kidding me right?" or "How do you know that?"

I have heard those words before. When giving a client a treatment they are speechless when I can tell if their liver has some ongoing issues. They come see me and will not disclose any health concerns, and that's okay because I will find them, if there are any LoL. I always enjoy a challenge :) .

This career changed my life. Helping and aiding my fellow humans is something I am enjoying very much. Years ago you would not find me working in such a field. Doing one on one sessions with people was definitely out of the question, and working one on one with men? That was a no for me. I had such a lack of confidence in myself that at times it was debilitating. Even going to gatherings where there were people I had never met was excruciating on my mind ( I have posted about this in my previous blog: "Soothing the Storm")

Lack of confidence held me back from many things and kept me a prisoner, but today things are very different. With the help of many, I have seen who I am, what I am capable of, and do it with confidence. So, lets get back to the main reason for my blog....the liver.

The liver is located on the right foot (also located on the right side of the body). The liver is one of the largest organs in the body and is responsible for a variety of functions, including detoxification, processing nutrients from food, and producing bile to help break down fats in the digestive system. Additionally, the liver plays an important role in regulating hormones, storing vitamins, and producing blood clotting factors. The liver is also responsible for breaking down toxins and metabolizing drugs, which helps to protect the body from potentially harmful substances. What an important organ, right? We only realize how important our organs really are when we sit and read what it does for us.

HOW CAN RELFLEXOLOGY HELP MY LIVER?

Reflexology is very beneficial for our liver. The pressure applied to the liver can promote healing by stimulating it's natural healing abilities and improves circulation. Reflexology can help to alleviate liver issues by reducing stress, improving digestion, and stimulating the liver to increase the flow of blood and nutrients to the organ. Additionally, reflexology can help to reduce inflammation and improve the overall health of the liver. Now with that being said, if you have terrible eating habits, don't expect to come see me and its all healed. Obviously it does not work that way. Diet plays a major role combined with a holistic approach.

There are several studies that demonstrate the potential benefits of reflexology for those with liver disease. One study that demonstrates the potential benefits of reflexology for those with liver disease was published in the journal Complementary Therapies in Medicine in 2011. The study found that reflexology sessions were able to reduce stress and improve liver function in people with chronic liver disease. Another study, published in the Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine in 2017, found that reflexology was able to reduce inflammation and improve the function of the liver in those with chronic liver disease. Finally, a study published in the journal Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine in 2018 found that reflexology was able to reduce fatigue, improve digestion, and improve the overall quality of life for those with liver disease.

Are you ready to improve your life? Are you ready to make changes and renew your liver?

Give me a call and I would be more than happy to help your liver heal itself.
