Psychic Abilities: Do We All have them?

It occurred to me after my last post, "Readings: The Role of an Oracle and that of a Medium," that it begs the question, "how does one get these abilities, and why?". Well speaking for myself, the simple answer is trauma.

Let me explain.

I have had a fair share of hard times in my life, riddled with failed relationships one after another. I have always believed in the supernatural, however, I was a little closed off to it until I experienced a major trauma that woke these abilities up. You see, we all have Psychic abilities but they need to be nurtured and awakened. For me, trauma was what started it all. I think that it is an interesting paradox that the more suffering one goes through the more open your heart becomes, if you chose love over resentment and anger. I have been through the 'Woe is me' stage of life, blaming others for my success as well as my failures, but once I made a fundamental shift in perception and looked at my life with love and compassion, it was then that I was able to take responsibility for my actions, and evolve into the Divine Being I now am. The reward that the Universe sought to bestow on me was to put me on a path of Spiritual Growth which opened up my Psychic abilities.

Some examples of my Psychic abilities opening up are, above average deduction and sense of knowing, empathy - feeling the feelings that others are having and mistaking them for your own. I can remember watching one of the super-bowls where my favorite team was ousted from it long ago and I felt the anxiety of the players as if I were the one playing the game. This can only be explained as a sensitivity to the energy of the game and its importance to those playing. Truth be told, I didn't even have a favorite team in the game but the feelings of nervousness and anxiety were still very real to me. Seeing faces and images when you close your eyes, this is one of the difficult ones and always begs the question 'is it your imagination or is it something else?', for me it is always something else. When I am giving a reading and a particular face comes to me, the person I am giving the ready to, almost always knows who it is or who they were.

Then what happens is a series of encounters with people that are spiritually aware and they help to guide the process of your awakening and help foster an understanding of it.
