Reiki - Why learn it? Why teach it?

Reiki is the manipulation of Universal Love energy to help promote wellness and healing in the body of the subject. Well, at least that is my definition of it. Much of what I do to promote healing and wellness in my clients has transcended Reiki. However, Reiki was how this transcendant modality got its start.

Let me explain... Reiki and the attunements that come with it, scratched the surface of energy manipulation for me enough, to learn how to do other modalities like "Psychic Surgery", Pranic healing, crystal healing, qi gong and singing bowl healing. Now please understand I have very limited training in these other modalities, and I am mostly self taught, but they have proven to be very effective in promoting health and wellness in my clients. And from time to time I am compelled to use these modalities, in a healing session. But here is the thing, none of this would have been possible if it were not for my Reiki training.

People that are spiritually inclined often talk about their evolutionary journey as a being of light or darkness. I have learnt that there is a journey for the healer too. An evolutionary learning and unfolding of a path to heal others on a grander scale. There have been entities that have guided my journey as a person and healer. I can remember one occasion when I was conducting a healing session and I could see a ghost in my mind's eye directing me on where to put my hands and where to push energy into the client. It was a wonderful and humbling experience.

I have asked for feedback on all of the sessions I have given. I remember an occaision where I started the session with manipulating light energy only to realize mid session that this was not working and so I started to manipulate dark energy and have the client completely relax. The client was a dark soul. So all the light energy was being engulfed by their darkness. Once I realized what was happening I was able to switch gears manipulated dark energy and bring peace and healing to the client. Now it is important for me to say this, the duality of light and darkness is DIFFERENT from the duality of good and evil. Just because someone is a dark soul does not mean they are evil. And just because someone is a light does not mean they are always benevolent in nature. That is the beauty in the yin and yang. I believe a benevolent action can have a negative outcome on a grander scale. Just as a seemingly manevolent action can create a lot of good.

So why learn Reiki? To become familiarize one's self with energy manipulation. Why teach Reiki? To help start the enolutionary path of a fellow healer. Either way I am humbled and respectful in the way Source chooses to use me as a conduit for good.
