Updated: Sep 8, 2023

We at Foot and Soul Temple did at one point offer the Lomi Lomi massage but decided to put it on hold for some time. We will be offering it as a part of our services starting in the month of May, 2023. Many of you have asked what kind of massage is Lomi Lomi. Please continue reading for more information.

Lomi Lomi massage is a traditional Hawaiian massage technique that has been passed down through generations of healers. It is a massage that involves the use of long, flowing strokes and circular movements.

Lomi Lomi massage is often described as "loving hands" massage because it is believed to be a deeply healing and nurturing form of touch. The massage therapist uses their hands, forearms, and elbows to create a rhythmic and continuous flow of strokes over the body, which can help to release tension, promote relaxation, and restore balance to the body and mind.

In addition to physical benefits, Lomi Lomi massage is also said to have spiritual and emotional benefits, as it can help to release emotional blockages and promote a sense of inner peace and harmony.

Lomi Lomi massage is believed to have numerous physical, mental, and emotional benefits. Here are some of the ways Lomi Lomi massage may help:

  1. Reducing muscle tension and pain

  2. Improving circulation and lymphatic flow

  3. Boosting immune function

  4. Reducing stress and anxiety

  5. Enhancing relaxation and promoting better sleep

  7. Improving digestion and elimination

  8. Promoting detoxification and elimination of waste products

  9. Providing relief from headaches and migraines
